  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., Swiss or cheddar) Feel free to mix and match cheeses.
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • optional herbs (e.g., thyme or basil) for seasoning

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add diced onion and sauté until translucent.
  • Add the chopped Swiss chard and cook until it wilts.

Mixing

  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
  • Stir in the sautéed Swiss chard, onion, cheese, salt, pepper, and any optional herbs.

Baking

  • Pour the mixture into a greased pie dish or baking pan.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
  • Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
