    • Thank you for catching that..a standard 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) cake pan works perfectly for this recipe.. You can also use a 9-inch round pan with similar results, just keep an eye on the baking time.

        • Thank you for pointing that out..you’re absolutely right, the pan details should be the first thing mentioned; i just updated the recipe to include the pan size (9×9 or 8×8) and to bake it on the center rack, with timing notes too.. thanks again for the helpful feedback.

      • Yes, you can absolutely use a loaf pan 😊 a standard 9×5-inch loaf pan works well for this recipe.. Just keep in mind that since a loaf pan is deeper than a regular cake pan, the baking time will be a bit longer… bake it at 350°F (175°C) for about 40–50 minutes and start checking around the 40-minute mark.. if a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean; it’s ready…make sure to grease the pan well or line it with parchment paper and let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before removing it. the cake will be a little taller and slightly denser but still moist and full of that cozy gingerbread flavor.

    • You can definitely use a mini Bundt cake pan (the muffin-style ones) instead of a regular cake pan..just make sure to grease the pan really well; especially in all the little grooves.. so the cakes don’t stick. fill each cavity about halfway to two-thirds full to give the batter room to rise.. since the cakes are smaller,, they’ll bake faster—start checking them around 18 minutes.. and they should be done somewhere between 18 and 25 minutes.. once baked, let them cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.. then gently turn them out onto a rack; they make really cute individual gingerbread cakes and are perfect for serving or gifting.
